FUN FACT of the DAY: BOOBYTRAP backwards spells PARTYBOOB
FUN FACT of the DAY: BOOBYTRAP backwards spells PARTYBOOB
So, I got posed this maths question today which I thought was pretty interesting, because it plays on notions of infinity and stuff. Solution under the cut.

Between them, Mexico, Brazil, Cameroon, Nigeria, India, Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea contain more than 50% of the world’s languages.
Eight countries, and half the tongues of this Earth.
I think that’s really cool.
Voyager 1 by Mike Gottschalk
Having outlasted all previous objectives, Voyager’s eternal mission at this point is just to fly off into interstellar space indefinitely. This piece sent me on a massive Wikipedia timewarp last night, in which I learned that Voyager is expected to keep flying until at least 2025, which will be a mind-numbing 48 years after its launch from this humble little ball of dirt. You’re a good ol’ girl, Voyager. Saganspeed!
Though it’s three and a half hours long, Lawrence of Arabia contains no credited speaking roles for women.
The French language assistant at our school couldn’t give a flying shit about Eurovision.
I don’t stroke my puny attempt at facial hair wisdom beard like normal people; I pick a single strand and tug it
I will translate en effet from French to English as en effet and take a solid 10 seconds to realise my error.

What smegma is.
*le shudder*
*le definitely don’t Google it*
*le no seriously, don’t*
You can draw on a cat with a ballpoint pen as long as you pick a place where the fur is short and the ink can be seen - like, for example, on the white nose of your otherwise black cat.
Neither my old maths teacher nor the other maths teacher (the one to whom she recommended I speak about maths at university) did maths at university.
Also, I can and will construct sentences that are grammatically correct despite how cumbersome they will sound.
Bitches love free food.
Kinda new that already, but hush.
1) Who Neil Patrick Harris is, and
2) that Neil Patrick Harris is gay.
Turns out, I really don’t pay attention to famous people’s lives. Oh well.
Woo, bitching about teh gr8 gtsbee in poetry form. Get me.
Anyhow, here’s a fact I learnt today. The concert hall at Leeds University (I think it was Leeds, although to be honest I wasn’t much listening to my physics teacher when he told us this because he’s a prick and all I remember was that it was definitely somewhere oop nerth) is more-or-less unusable for music, because it has a resonant frequency that an orchestral instrument (again, I forget which one; wasn’t listening) can replicate. In other words, when some poor bugger toots away on his trumpet or blows into his flute or whatever, the note he makes finds its way to shake the building to the floor. It’s not quite as dramatic as that, but that’s pretty much what the end result will be.
So there you go. Jallen WILT #2
You know that cinema device where the camera is fixed to the actor’s body, meaning that they don’t appear to move, but the world around them does (like in the chase scenes of Sir Digby Chicken Caesar)?
The camera rig that facilitates that is called a SnorriCam.
Joe :: nineteen, straight, taken,

. I can't even.Guild Wars 2 (R), Guild Wars (R/Mo, Rt/R), Starcraft (Terran), Chrome, n-game, SkiFree.
Gaunt's Ghosts, Eisenhorn, Ravenor, Dan Abnett, Warhammer 40K, reading, writing, maths, French, physics, semi-colons in texts, correcting bad grammar, too many annoying habits, missing the past.
I follow back (most of the time). I'm that cool.
...and finally: I spent 2011 writing
a poem each day, every day for the
entire year. You should check that out.
